About Sohil

Trying therapy can feel like a leap of faith. It asks you to place trust in another person, in a process that may feel unfamiliar, and in your own capacity for change. My hope is to make that process feel less intimidating by creating a space grounded in warmth, honesty, curiosity, and collaboration.

In our sessions, we might explore the experiences that have shaped how you understand yourself, the patterns that continue to influence your life, and the values you want to move toward. There is room for the full range of what you may be carrying, including joy, grief, fear, uncertainty, frustration, and hope.

I work with adults navigating ADHD, autism and other forms of neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, identity questions, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. You do not need to arrive with everything clearly explained. We can begin with what feels most present and make sense of it together.

Choosing a therapist is deeply personal. I welcome clients of different ages, identities, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences, and I would be glad to learn more about what you hope therapy might make possible.

Why I Do This Work

I believe people deserve spaces where their experiences are understood in context, rather than reduced to diagnoses, personal failure, or ways of coping shaped by survival.

Therapy can offer room to question inherited expectations, name the impact of relationships and systems, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been dismissed or pressured to conform.

My hope is to support you in understanding your story with greater compassion and creating a life rooted in your own values, dignity, and sense of possibility.

My Approach in Practice

None of us becomes who we are alone. We are shaped by family, culture, community, relationships, the places we come from, and the systems we have had to move through. Therapy with me is a place to slow down and explore those layers without treating your experiences as separate from the world around you.

I do not see myself as the authority on your life. You bring the knowledge of your own history, body, instincts, and ways of understanding. I bring care, thoughtful questions, and therapeutic practices, and we shape the work TOGETHER.

We may explore the stories you have inherited about success, identity, family, productivity, or belonging. We can notice which ones still feel meaningful and question those that have made your life smaller. We can also honour patterns that began as ways of surviving, adapting, protecting yourself, or staying connected. They deserve understanding before judgment.

I draw from Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, person-centered and strengths-based approaches, and EMDR-informed care. I do not expect you to fit neatly into one method. Our work will move at YOUR pace and reflect YOUR needs, values, culture, and ways of processing.

You can arrive uncertain, tired, hopeful, frustrated, or still searching for the words. All of that is welcome. We can begin with what is here and gradually make more room for self-trust, choice, connection, and a life that feels like it truly belongs to YOU.

What Clients Often Come to Me For

You may be considering therapy because something feels heavy, confusing, or difficult to carry alone. You might feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, unsure of what comes next, or simply ready to understand your life more deeply.

ADHD, Autism & Neurodivergence

Living with ADHD, autism, or another form of neurodivergence can mean navigating masking, sensory overwhelm, burnout, executive functioning challenges, or years of feeling misunderstood. Therapy can offer space to better understand how you experience the world, recognize what supports you, and create a life that works WITH you rather than against you.

Anxiety, Overthinking & Self-Doubt

Anxiety may show up as constant overthinking, replaying conversations, preparing for the worst, or questioning your own decisions. Together, we can explore where those responses came from, what they may be protecting, and how you can meet uncertainty with more steadiness and self-trust.

Depression, Exhaustion & Disconnection

Depression does not always look like visible sadness. It can feel like numbness, isolation, exhaustion, loss of motivation, or difficulty imagining that life could feel different. Therapy can help us gently name what has been weighing on you and reconnect with the relationships, values, and possibilities that still matter.

Identity, Self-Understanding & Acceptance

You may be questioning who you are, reconsidering the roles you have been expected to carry, or trying to hear your own voice beneath the expectations of others. We can explore your identity with curiosity while making room for the parts of yourself that have been hidden, criticized, or asked to become smaller.

Culture, Belonging & Family Expectations

Living between cultures, communities, or family expectations can leave you feeling pulled between different versions of who you are supposed to be. Therapy can hold those tensions without asking you to abandon one part of yourself for another. We can explore what belonging, integrity, and a meaningful life look like in YOUR own context.

Life Transitions & Major Changes

Changes in work, education, relationships, family, health, or identity can shift how you understand yourself and where you belong. Even welcome changes can bring grief, fear, or uncertainty. Therapy can offer space to honour what you are leaving behind while exploring what you want to carry into the next part of your life.

Relationships, Boundaries
& Communication

You may find yourself repeating familiar relationship patterns, struggling to express your needs, or feeling unsure about where your responsibilities end and another person’s begin. Together, we can explore how your experiences have shaped the ways you connect, protect yourself, and respond to conflict while building relationships grounded in greater care, honesty, and mutual respect.

I provide a judgment-free environment with space for humor, opportunities to grow, and the freedom to be human without the pressure of society. I like to make therapy as easy as possible, to not feel like a chore, but to also provide relief and healing.
