About Katrina

I was brought to clinical work because I derive joy from celebrating others and helping them accomplish the goals they didn’t think were possible. I believe in holding space for discomfort, and in the idea that we are not just the things that happen to us, but who we choose to become in spite of them. For me, healing begins where judgment ends and hope returns — a place where you no longer have to carry life’s burdens alone.

What I love most about my work is being able to educate and support my clients through their healing journey. Outside of session, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, staying active, and being a plant mama.

Why I Do This Work

No one is meant to carry life's hardest moments alone. I believe healing happens in relationships where people are met with curiosity instead of judgment, compassion instead of shame, and the freedom to be fully human.

My Approach in Practice

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationship, not in isolation. I recognize that many of the struggles people bring into therapy have been shaped by their relationships, communities, identities, and life experiences, not simply by individual shortcomings. Together, we'll make sense of those experiences with curiosity rather than judgment.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based interventions, and trauma-informed care, using each thoughtfully to fit your unique needs and goals rather than expecting you to fit a particular model.

I strive to create a space where every part of you is welcome, where you can strengthen relationships, reconnect with your own values, develop practical tools, and move toward a life that feels more connected, balanced, and authentically your own.

What Clients Often Come to Me For

People often reach out when life feels heavy, layered, or difficult to put into words.

Navigating identity and life transitions

Whether you're exploring your identity, questioning old expectations, or navigating a major life transition, therapy can offer space to reconnect with who you are beyond the roles others have placed on you.

Healing from religious or spiritual trauma

Making sense of faith, spirituality, or religious experiences that left you feeling ashamed, disconnected, or afraid. Together, we'll create space to explore what still serves you and what you're ready to leave behind.

Working through parenting and family conflict

Parenting can bring joy, exhaustion, grief, and unexpected questions about who you are. Whether you're navigating pregnancy, postpartum, family conflict, or caregiving, you don't have to hold it all by yourself.

Building or strengthening relationships

Relationships take work, especially when trust has been broken, communication feels difficult, or life has pulled you in different directions. Together, we'll strengthen connection, deepen understanding, and build relationships where everyone feels heard, respected, and able to grow.

Processing grief, burnout, or depression

Sometimes life becomes heavy long before we realize how much we've been carrying. Together, we'll explore what has contributed to that weight and work toward greater rest, resilience, and self-compassion.

I provide a judgment-free environment with space for humor, opportunities to grow, and the freedom to be human without the pressure of society. I like to make therapy as easy as possible, to not feel like a chore, but to also provide relief and healing.

Living Between Different Worlds

Many people come to therapy feeling pulled between different identities, cultures, communities, or expectations. Therapy offers space to honor every part of who you are without feeling like you have to choose one over another.
