Beyond his professional experience, he holds a Master of Social Work from Missouri Baptist University and certifications as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Supervisor (CDCS) and D.O.T. Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).

Why I Do This Work

“For me, this work is about honoring the resilience people carry even when life has left deep marks. Growing up in Detroit and building my path as a trauma-informed clinician, I’ve seen how trauma weaves itself through families, communities, and generations. I do this work to create a space where those stories can be spoken without fear, where people are supported in facing the weight of their past, and where recovery is not about erasing pain but reclaiming strength, dignity, and possibility.”

My Approach in Practice

When we sit together, I want you to feel grounded and understood. My approach is steady and compassionate, rooted in the belief that every person carries stories, memories, and strengths that deserve to be honored. I listen closely and with care, creating space for you to bring forward whatever feels most present in the moment.

Because trauma touches each life differently, I draw on approaches like Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR, and DBT in ways that respond to your needs. Some days our work may focus on easing the weight of difficult emotions. Other times, it may be about building tools that help you navigate stress, relationships, or daily challenges with more ease.

What guides me is a commitment to helping you find clarity, connection, and balance in your own life. I believe therapy is a partnership built on trust, where we move at your pace and in a direction that feels meaningful for you.

How We Can Work Together

  • Culturally Sensitive, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Multicultural, Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Strength-Based, Clinical Supervision and Licensed Supervisors, Trauma Focused

  • Free Gender-Affirming Care Letter Provider for Transgender People (fully either through insurance or pro-bono process), Gender-Affirming Care (TGNB)

  • When we meet, I want you to feel grounded enough to share at your own pace. Each session is a space where your story is honored without judgment or pressure to move faster than feels right. We might spend time naming how trauma and stress show up in your daily life, exploring the impact of past experiences, or practicing skills to help you feel more steady in the present.

I often draw from approaches like EMDR, TF-CBT, and DBT, but how we use them depends on what feels most helpful for you. Some days that may look like processing difficult memories, other days it may be building practical tools for managing emotions or stress.

My intention is to create a collaborative process where you feel supported, understood, and empowered in the choices you make for yourself.

Clients often reach out when they are:

  • Carrying the impact of trauma, whether from childhood experiences, sudden events, or ongoing stress, and wanting a space to process and move through the weight it leaves behind.

  • Living with anxiety, depression, or mood challenges, and seeking ways to feel more steady, supported, and connected in daily life.

  • Working through anger or emotional intensity, hoping to find healthy outlets, tools for regulation, and a deeper understanding of what those feelings are signaling.

  • Adjusting to life transitions, such as relationship changes, grief, or new roles, and looking for support to navigate uncertainty with more clarity and grounding.

  • Seeking a compassionate space where they can be met with honesty and care, while also learning evidence-based tools that fit their unique needs.

Together, we explore both the challenges and the strengths you carry, with the goal of helping you feel more grounded, resilient, and in touch with your own capacity for growth.
