Akeem Parks

My name is Akeem Parks, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at Howard University.

I am completing my clinical internship with a focus on providing therapeutic support to individuals and families. I was drawn to the field of social work by a deep interest in mental health and a desire to help people navigate life’s challenges through a compassionate, client-centered approach.

My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, and supporting individuals through major life transitions. Through this internship, I hope to continue developing my clinical skills and create a safe, empowering space for clients to heal and grow.

Throughout Akeem’s internship, Akeem’s professional growth and clinical practice are directly supervised by Kimberly Minton, (She/Her) LICSW.
