Why I Do This Work
“I believe therapy should meet you where you are, with honesty, respect, and care. Whether we’re exploring generational trauma, navigating identity, or rebuilding after loss, I aim to create a space where your story can unfold safely and in your own time.”
— Lillie Smith
My Approach in Practice
I believe healing happens in relationship and in safety. I aim to create a space where you can feel seen without needing to shrink yourself. When we work together, I take the time to understand what survival has looked like for you and how those patterns have helped you get through hard things. We might focus on practical tools like grounding and breathwork to build safety and trust. Other times, we may explore deeper patterns using trauma-focused CBT or Collaborative Problem Solving, especially when navigating family dynamics, addiction, or life transitions.
I welcome the fullness of who you are, including the parts shaped by generational pain, cultural identity, or systems that have tried to make you feel small. Whether you're navigating anxiety, addiction, identity shifts, or grief, I will meet you with care and curiosity. Together, we can work toward building the life skills and inner stability that let you move forward with clarity and self-trust.

In our time together, I focus on creating a space that feels safe, steady, and culturally responsive. I draw from a variety of tools depending on what feels right for you in the moment. That could mean practicing grounding techniques to help ease anxiety, using CBT to work through difficult thoughts, or drawing from your own strengths and lived experiences to build new patterns of healing.
If you're navigating grief, trauma, or life transitions, we may move at a pace that honors your capacity that day. Whether we’re doing somatic work, talking through family patterns, or exploring identity, I’ll always aim to meet you with compassion and curiosity. My role is not to fix you but to walk alongside you while you build the life you want, with more ease, more clarity, and more connection.

I show up as a grounded and present guide, holding space for you to be seen without judgment. I believe healing happens through connection, honesty, and deep listening. My approach is relational and collaborative. I meet you where you are and help you move at a pace that feels safe. I don’t believe in quick fixes. I believe in building trust, unpacking what hurts, and naming what matters. Together, we’ll work through challenges and celebrate growth, no matter how small it seems. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to bring your full self. I’ll bring care, clarity, and commitment.
How We Can Work Together
Clients often reach out when they are:
Feeling overwhelmed by transition or loss and are looking for ways to ground themselves during uncertain times.
Questioning or exploring aspects of their identity, including gender, culture, neurodivergence, and belonging.
Longing for more meaningful relationships but feeling stuck in cycles of shame, people-pleasing, or disconnection.
Carrying trauma, grief, or painful memories that feel hard to name or process alone.
Seeking support for body image, food, or self-worth in a way that is gentle, curious, and rooted in compassion.
I focus on building a space where you feel seen, supported, and free to move at your own pace, without pressure to have it all figured out.
