Patch Tseng-Putterman

ABOUT ME

Patch Tseng-Putterman is a therapist and clinical social worker offering individual therapy to adults of all ages and identities. Patch earned their MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work in 2020, and continues to engage actively in ongoing training, primarily in psychoanalytic theory and practice. They are currently available to see clients virtually in Maine or Rhode Island, and also offer in-person sessions in Providence, RI.

A relational psychodynamic therapist, Patch’s approach is rooted in attention to unconscious processes, the influences of early life, and the central role that connection to others plays in our lives. By exploring the therapist-client relationship and engaging in collaborative observation of the here-and-now of therapy, Patch helps clients develop insight and try on new ways of being and relating.

Outside of their work as a therapist, Patch enjoys food, music, nature, and engaging in revolutionary study and political activism.
